The branding for kitschy director extraordinaire Joshua Lacle takes major inspiration from cubism and the cinematic world of Pedro Almodóvar. Joshua is known for his comedic and profound work that tests how far we will go with our identity and boundaries. His website was designed with his work in mind, creating a custom hero banner that takes the best frames of his work. For other professional materials, there’s a heavy use of shapes like squares, rectangles, and circles, mirroring the fragmented, layered storytelling style that both cubism and Almodóvar are known for. The colour palette is led by black and white as anchors, with accents of yellow, blue, orangish red, and white to bring in vibrancy and emotion.
